Who must initiate a lab account (create a new project) at CCN?
The study PI or the study co-coordinator is responsible for initiating an account (creating a new project) at CCN. The steps are described in the CCN scheduling website (ABOUTCCNASAS).

How do I add a new user to our lab on the scheduling website?
Your lab study PI or the study co-coordinator has administrative privileges to add new users to the lab. They can do so by navigating to the "My profile | My Personnel" page and choosing the "create new passport" menu item under the "User" drop down menu. A new user will be created once all the required information in the form is completed and submitted.

Is there a dicom server at CCN and how do I set up our group on the server?
Yes, CCN does have a dicom server. Once you have your project setup and approved on the CCN scheduling website, you can contact CCN Lab Manager to add your group to the Dicom server. The raw data from the scanner is saved under each of the group's directory on the server.

Is my CCN account the same as my brain mapping account?
The CCN and the Brain Mapping Center are separate organizations and require separate accounts and policies.

Will I need my own account to transfer data to our servers?
Once you have your project setup and approved on the CCN scheduling website, you can contact CCN lab manager to get access to the dicom server. You will then be able to transfer data to your servers.

How do I apply for pilot time?
Please email your pilot study proposal to CCN Director. The proposal will be reviewed by the Executive Committee members and a CCN personal will get in touch with you regarding the status of the proposal.

I am BMC certified, will I need to get re-certified to be allowed in the CCN scanner and/or to access the CCN server?
CCN and BMC are separate organizations. We do require you to be safety certified at CCN to access the scanner/server. You can find more information on the certification process at SafetyLinks.

What stimulus equipment is available and is the set-up similar to BMC?
CCN provides the Resonance technology Visuastim system for stimulus delivery and a 4 Button response pad for recording the responses. The setup is similar to BMC.

Are there any physiological data acquisition systems, like respiration, pulse oximeter etc?
CCN provides the BIOPAC system for acquiring respiration, pulse and GSR data. Please contact CCN lab manager if you would like to collect physio data for your study.

How do I transfer my scanning protocols from the BMC scanner to the CCN scanner?
Please make a copy of the edx files of the scanning protocol from BMC scanner computer onto a CD-R. Alternately, you can also copy the dicom data of a subject directly from the BMC scanner computer onto a CD. Please contact CCN lab manager to schedule a time to transfer the protocols. Please note that CCN scanner computer does not support data/protocols stored on a flash drive.
